What is resin bond diamond abrasive?
News introduction
Synthetic diamond is polycrystalline diamond superhard abrasive, mainly used in the production of resin bond diamond grinding wheel. New Dragon's boron-doped technology has greatly improved the bonding strength of PDG series diamond crystals, thereby increasing the holding power of the crystals. Polycrystalline diamond grains consist of sub-grains of multiple embedded structures, having an irregular shape and a rough concave surface. This diamond has excellent qualities of high grinding efficiency, long service life and high finish.
Resin bond diamond has excellent properties:
1. First, there is a sharp cutting angle that maintains continuous long-lasting self-sharpening. Under certain grinding force, the polycrystalline particles tend to fracture along the interface between the subgrains. After the small worn subcrystals are detached from the crystal particles, the new irregularly shaped subgrains form sharp edges on the crystal surface. The horns, rather than the entire granules fall off; this process continues until the granules completely detach from the binding agent, thus exhibiting extremely high grinding efficiency and abrasive utilization.
2. Second, excellent surface finish. Due to the uniform brittleness, the machined surface does not produce scratches and burn marks.
3. Third, long service life. Due to the presence of rough surfaces and concave corners and the full utilization of the abrasive, the crystal grains are very easily grasped by the binding agent.
4. In addition, the stress on the surface of the workpiece being machined is small and the internal stress is evenly distributed, which greatly improves the service life of the workpiece.
The resin binder diamond provides high grinding performance and low grinding resistance, and is widely used in all dry and wet grinding areas to process hard materials. In most cases, the resin binder system is a phenolic resin or a polyimide resin. Special resin binders are also used in special cases. The addition of suitable additives will make the resin binder more versatile. The best fit between the resin binder and the abrasive is the key to precision grinding, high finish polishing, and high grinding efficiency.
Resin bond diamond applicable processing range:
1. Cemented carbide: cutting and grinding tools, wire drawing die, etc.
2. Ceramics: Silicon nitride, porcelain, alumina, silicon carbide, glass, etc.
